The need of cleaning surfaces.
In every process of combustion, especially with solid or liquid fuels, there is production of unburnt deposits and slags which reduce the efficiency of heat transfer and create problems of firing and corrosion. Steam generators, refinery heaters, furnaces, heat recovery units, boilers in general, therefore have to eliminate soot deposits and slags from their heat transfer surfaces. The own task of soot blowers is the periodical re- establishment of the best working conditions, removing deposits which, remaining on tube bundles, reduce heat transfer, and consequently efficiency, in a very massive way.
Working at regular time intervals, soot blowers, rightly arranged, throw a pressurized fluid - normally superheated steam - from two or more nozzles, brush away heaped deposits. Heat transfer surfaces, so cleaned, remain efficient and keep the original heat transfer coefficient. Fuel saving obtained utilizing soot blowers may reach average values from 5% till 20%. Heat transfer loss grows more than proportionally with the thickness of deposits (*). It is then evident that the use of soot blowers besides protecting plant from corrosion extending in such a way its service life, it is an economical advantage permitting a remarkable energy saving.
Furthermore, deposits increase pressure drops and can force the stop of plant for unplanned maintenance and cleaning, with huge economical damages.

Rotary lance soot blowers.
Model MU-VII. Are applied in the zones with medium and high temperature’s gases. The lances are rotary in fixed position and equipped with special nozzles set along one or more axial lines. Cleaning can be done by lane jets among the tube pitches or by mass jets over tube bundles. Rotary lance soot blowers are realized in explosion proof construction. To clean and cover a rectangular area the best method is travelling over it with rake sweeping all surface. Rotary soot blowers placed along centerline clean only around their lance tube and cannot reach properly the most far tubes and especially they cannot go in depth into tube bundle.
They are used only if placed 90°c with tubes axis. That’s reason why for APH and Economizers are used Rake type soot blowers
The driving electric motor is coupled directly to the reduction gear.
Front and rear stuffing boxes assure seal of the steam: they are realized by three sets of bronze rings alternated with graphited and lubricated soft packing rings.
The blower body is mounted on a specially profiled support frame, made by mild steel, equipped with rack-rail, onto which rotate the driving pinion. Electric junction box is mounted inside this frame.
Front and rear limit switches are mounted on the travelling body.
An automatic self-acting steam valve made by carbon steel, is mounted on the rear internal side of the blower. Valve opens during blowing operation, after a certain stroke, and feeds steam to the inner steam lance. The internal steam inner lance is directly coupled to steam inlet valve, while retractable external lance advances over the inner steam lance.
Sequence control panel boards.
Our cleaning systems can be provided with sequence control panel boards PLC BASED. Electric control panel boards are built both in SAFE or explosion proof construction.
